An initiative that honors outstanding media coverage of yoga, the Antarashtriya Yoga Diwas Media Samman, is in its second edition, according to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The purpose of this award is to highlight the important role that the media has played in bringing attention to yoga and all of its advantages. There will be thirty-three Sammans given out in three different categories.
Categories and Coverage
There are three different categories in which the Antarashtriya Yoga Diwas Media Samman 2023 will be given out:
- The Best Newspaper Articles about Yoga in the Media
- The Best Yoga-Related Electronic Media (TV) Coverage
- Top Yoga-Related Electronic Media Coverage (Radio)
These categories guarantee full acknowledgment for outstanding coverage on print, television, and radio media.
Role of the Media in Yoga Promotion
In order to raise awareness and highlight yoga’s capacity for change, the media is essential. Because of their commitment, yoga has become a discipline that is available to people of various ages, skills, and backgrounds. Yoga is now a worldwide phenomenon, crossing national boundaries and obstacles to culture, thanks in part to media efforts.
Recognition and Responsibility
The Antarashtriya Yoga Diwas Media Samman recognizes the vital role that media plays in increasing yoga awareness, both domestically and internationally. The purpose of this award is to honor the media’s efforts in advancing yoga as a universal language of wellbeing. The Samman recognizes the media’s enormous influence and accountability in advancing this age-old custom.
Submission Guidelines and Jury
Media outlets must submit their data and pertinent clippings or audio/visual content televised or published between June 10, 2023, and June 25, 2023, in order to be eligible for the Antarashtriya Yoga Diwas Media Samman. Based on the submissions received, a neutral jury will select the Samman winners. A citation and a unique media plaque or trophy will be given to the winners.
