We all recall Afridi’s key role in taking Pakistan to the 2007 finals and their stunning championship win in 2009. His performances were electric. Afridi was named Player of the Tournament in 2007, despite Pakistan’s defeat to India in the final. He came stronger two years later, winning Player of the Match accolades in both the semi-finals against South Africa and the finals against Sri Lanka for excellent all-round performances.
